KERRVILLE, Texas - Tristan Dick poured in 33 points and Austin College raced out to a 53-37 halftime lead as the 'Roos kept their SCAC Tournament hopes alive with a 91-79 victory at Schreiner University on Friday evening. The 'Roos are now 9-14 overall and 4-10 in conference play.

It was a must win game for Austin College, as the 'Roos would have been mathematically eliminated from the SCAC Tournament with a loss to the Mountaineers. Dick scored 25 of his 33 points in the team's huge first half, connecting on all five of his three point attempts before halftime. He finished the game making 11-of-23 shots overall and 7-of-10 from long range to lead the 'Roos to the win. Austin College shot 49.2% as a team and 47.6% from beyond the arc, and also outscored Schreiner 21-15 at the free throw line.

Dick added nine rebounds in the game, while Ocie Berry came up just shy of a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. Joshua Joe added 14 points, six rebounds, and four assists, and Jordan Hudgins and Chase Antosca each scored 10 points for the 'Roos. Kidus Getenet chipped in nine points, four rebounds, and four assists. Dylan Mackey scored 31 points to pace Schreiner, knocking down 11-of-18 from the field and 4-of-5 from long range.
