Offense Stalls for 'Roo Men in Loss at Trinity

The Austin College men's basketball team shot just 27.6% from the field and 40% from the free throw line in a 55-41 loss at Trinity in San Antonio on Friday. The 'Roos fall to 7-15 overall and 3-9 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play with the defeat.

Austin College managed just 17 first half points, trailing 24-17 at the break against the Tigers, and the 'Roos were just unable to get anything going on the offensive end of the court all night. The 'Roos hit just 3-of-17 three pointers, and while they were able to hold Trinity to 34% overall shooting and 17.6% from long range, the Tigers out-scored the 'Roos 18-6 from the free throw line in the game.

Brian Baehl led Austin College with nine points, and Cedric Hudson and Eghosa Igbinosa each chipped in eight. Hudson and Austin Freet each grabbed a team-high eight rebounds for the 'Roos.
