Joe Morgan

Joe Morgan came to Austin College in 2015, and during his time in Sherman he's worked with a number of positions with the Kangaroo football program, including both the offensive and defensive lines as well as serving as the team's special teams coordinator.

Prior to arriving at Austin College, Morgan coached at Cornell College in Iowa, where he served as the team's offensive line coach for three seasons. As a member of the Cornell coaching staff, he was integral in recruiting and helped lead the team to its best record in nearly 15 years, as well as its first back-to-back winning seasons in more than a decade.

Before his stint at Cornell, Morgan served as the run game coordinator and offensive line coach at McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas, from 2008-2012. He also served as the program's assistant recruiting coordinator, and helped coach the team to a No. 14 national ranking in the NAIA as well as the team's first ever national tournament berth in 2009. The next season he helped guide McPherson to an undefeated conference season and a conference title, finishing the year ranked No. 6 in the NAIA. During his time as an assistant recruiting coordinator with McPherson, Morgan gained extensive experience recruiting in the Dallas-Fort Worth area as the team's lead recruiter in North Texas.

Morgan received his undergraduate degree from McPherson in 2008, and received his Master's degree in Science/Sport Management from American Public University System in 2013.

He also serves as the director of Austin College's Dickey Fitness Pavilion.
