Austin College baseball player Oscar Gonzalez has been named honorable mention All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, the league office has announced.

Gonzalez, a freshman from Panama City, Panama, played in 37 games for the 'Roos primarily as the team's leadoff hitter and starting right fielder. Gonzalez batted .320 on the year, collecting 40 hits, including seven doubles. He also drove in 13 runs while scoring 26, and stole seven bases for the year. For the year, Gonzalez finished 12th in the SCAC with an on-base percentage of .438, and also had a .376 slugging percentage.
