It’s another full weekend for Austin College athletics, with three programs hitting the road while the Kangaroo football and soccer teams will be home in Sherman on Saturday and Sunday.

 

The ‘Roo volleyball and men’s water polo teams will be heading west this weekend, with volleyball headed to Denver for the first SCAC Crossover event of the season. The ‘Roos will take on Trinity and Johnson & Wales on Friday, finishing up the weekend trip on Saturday against St. Thomas of Houston and Texas Lutheran.

 

The men’s water polo team travels to California for a quartet of games, taking on California Baptist and the University of the Pacific on Friday and adding showdowns with Whittier and Santa Clara on Saturday.

 

The Austin College football team is back at home on Saturday to open up Southern Athletic Association play, hosting No. 19-ranked Centre College with kickoff slated for 1:00 p.m. in Jerry Apple Stadium.

 

The women’s soccer team hits the road on Friday to take on LeTourneau in Longview before returning home on Sunday, where they’ll face off against Schreiner University with game time set for noon. The men’s soccer team follows against the Mountaineers at 2:00 p.m. at the Dr. Jack Pierce Memorial Soccer Complex.
