SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's water polo player Ashley Chand.

Chand, a junior from Southlake, helped the 'Roos to the program's fourth straight appearance in the CWPA Championship tilt, marking the first time in conference history one school has reached the title game four years in a row. Chand was a second team All-Tournament selection for her efforts, which saw her score three times in three games as the 'Roos finished second and earned a bid in the USA Water Polo Division III Final Four. She was also recently named All-CWPA, notching second team honors after finishing the regular season with 20 goals, giving her 23 in total so far this year.
