AC Athletics Update, Holiday Edition

‘Twas the week of exams, the last of this year

All the students will soon be leaving from here.

Finals breakfast concluded, prepared for the week

of papers and tests.  You can do this!  Don’t freak!

Jan Term will be here before we all know it

and second semester will then soon follow it

But let us appreciate all the work that our Athletes

will do in our stead as they work to compete

on behalf of #RooNation over this winter break.

We are proud to support them in all the strides that they make.

Men’s Basketball will soon face Paul Quinn

Before our Nationally Ranked Women take on Hardin-Simmons.

The latter will take place on Thursday next week,

In Abilene, TX as we start a new streak.

The Men will compete against the Tigers at home

Show up and support so they don’t face them alone.

But what’s this?  A double-header against the Warriors from Hendrix?

A rematch you say?  We won’t want to miss this.

The games are in Hughey at 6 and at 4.

Saturday the 15th is when the teams hit the floor.

And then “Oh, my goodness,” what a date with destiny

as our proud Kangaroos will face Trinity

on Tuesday the 18th at 4 and at 2.

Come show your support, #RooNation.  We need you!

Then our Basketball Teams will travel to Irving

One game closer to earning a ring

as they face U of Dallas on the 19th at 4

and at 2.  But wait, there’s just two games more.

Men’s Basketball will play a foe from the ASC

Friday the 21st, they travel to UT-D

to take on the Comets, their last of December.

We know this game will be one to remember.

Women’s Basketball travels to take on the Cru

in Belton, on Saturday the 29th…tip-off is at 2.

This will close out the schedule for the rest of this year

But they will be back, don’t fret and don’t fear.

From all of us in Athletics at AC

travel safely this break, and may your Holidays be happy.

And remember #RooNation, whether we win or we lose,

When supporting AC

Be Loud

Be Proud

Be Positive

GO ‘ROOS!
