Women's Cross Country Takes 5th at ETBU Meet

The Austin College women's cross country team had a strong performance at the ETBU Meet, placing fifth out of 12 participating teams. Madison Galvan had the second fastest time in program history in the 6k with a time of 25:22.40, which was also the fastest time for a freshman in 'Roo women's cross country history.

"We had great weather today, and the course was flat so the conditions were perfect for fast running," said head coach Bryan Garcia. "Overall, I am very happy with how we did today and look forward to seeing how much more we improve over the next month."

Galvan finished 17th in the meet, with Eden Llamas coming in 21st and finishing with a time of 26:16.07, good for the third best time in program history. Alex Quinn ran a personal best with a time of 26:16.07, besting her previous best by two seconds and giving her the fifth best time in 'Roo history.

Other strong finishers were Haleigh Hahn, whose time of 26:42.67 was good for the 10th best in program history, while Sarah Jackson, running for Austin College for the first time, came in with a time of 28:27.64.
