SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College women's water polo players Bianca Gallegos, Ashley Easley, and Joslyn Dimitri swept the CWPA weekly awards following the team's first action of the season, with Gallegos being named the Player of the Week, Easley earning Defensive Player of the Week, and Dimitri winning Rookie of the Week accolades.

Gallegos, a sophomore from Albuquerque, N.M., led No. 10-ranked Austin College with 11 goals, three assists and five ejections drawn during a season-opening weekend at the Bruno Classic hosted by Brown University and Harvard University, on her way to win Player of the Week recognition.

Easley, a freshman from San Antonio, earned Defensive Player of the Week honors after she appeared in two games and posted 14 saves with a pair of assists and five steals as the 'Roos took on Salem University, Brown University, Siena, and La Salle to kick off the 2024 campaign.

Dimitri, a freshman from Couer d'Alene, Idaho, was named Rookie of the Week after turning in a strong performance at the Bruno Classic, finishing with three goals, five assists and nine ejections earned during the team's opening weekend trip to New England.
