SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College women's water polo team is in St. Paul, Minn., this weekend as the No. 7-ranked 'Roos look to defend their status as back-to-back CWPA Division III champions.

The 'Roos open up the weekend on Friday at 2:40 p.m. against Grove City, a program Austin College has faced just once before. The 'Roos won that match-up in 2021 and will be hoping for a repeat to advance to the semifinals on Saturday. Austin College finished the regular season with a 7-9 overall record, but a record of 7-1 against NCAA Division III opponents.

Austin College was last in action the first weekend of April, when they went 3-1 against conference opponents, with the lone trip up coming against No. 6-ranked Augustana, who the 'Roos defeated earlier in the season. The winner of this weekend's CWPA Championships will host the national championships, with the runner-up also earning a berth to that event.
