'Roos Cruise Past Huston-Tillotson

AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team picked up a 3-0 road victory at Huston-Tillotson on Wednesday, giving the 'Roos two sweeps of the Rams in the last week. Austin College is now 9-1 overall on the year.

The 'Roos opened the match with a 25-16 set one win before going up 2-0 on the strength of a 25-21 set two victory, and Austin College would wrap up the match with a 26-24 win in the third set to pick up the team's ninth victory of the year. It was a balanced effort for the 'Roos, with Mattie Duncan's seven kills leading the way. Duncan had an incredible .875 hitting percentage in the match, while also adding four total blocks. Samantha Graham chipped in six kills, and Tori Brackeen added four. Brianne Tseng led Austin College with 17 assists and Madison Manning had nine, with Manning adding three aces and five digs. Riley Abernethy and Tatum Torres each had six digs to pace the 'Roos defensively.
