'Roos Drop Pair in Seguin

SEGUIN, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team dropped both of its matches on Saturday at Texas Lutheran, falling 3-1 to the host Bulldogs and 3-0 against Colorado College. The 'Roos are now 19-10 overall and 6-9 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Against Texas Lutheran, the 'Roos fell 21-25 in the opening set before bouncing back with a 25-22 second set win, but the Bulldogs won each of the next two sets by scores of 19-25 to hand Austin College the loss. Austin College had 29 attacking errors in the match, along with nine service errors. Olivia Linton paced the 'Roos with 11 kills, while TJ Folse added eight and Riley Abernethy added seven. Abernethy also had 11 digs, while Mari Prazak led the 'Roos with 21 digs. Brooklyn Talley had 18 assists and 11 digs for Austin College in the defeat.

The 'Roos fell in three sets against Colorado College to wrap up the day, dropping the match 21-25, 15-25, 22-25 against the nationally-ranked Tigers. Linton once again led the way with nine kills, while Abernethy and Mattie Duncan each had seven. Talley and Brianne Tseng each had 12 assists, and Prazak paced Austin College with 12 digs in the loss.
