'Roo Volleyball Dominates at the Net to Sweep Concordia

The Austin College volleyball team had a dominant performance at the net, totaling 27 blocks as a team, on their way to a sweep of Concordia-Texas on Saturday afternoon. The 'Roos are now 13-7 overall this season with the victory.

The 'Roos took the match by scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-20 behind a 10 kill, 10 block effort from Rebekah Bowden and 15 kills with zero attacking errors from Presleigh Watson. Watson boasted a .714 hitting percentage in the match and Bowden had a .500 hitting percentage. Katie Ingle had 33 assists, and Madi McVay paced the 'Roos with 11 digs. Aelyn Rodriguez had eight block assists to help the dominant defensive effort.

Austin College had a .314 hitting percentage as a team in the victory, compared to a .167 hitting percentage from Concordia.
