SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College swimmer Sammi Thiele has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week after her record-setting performance at the Tiger Invitational, the league office has announced.

Thiele, a senior from Keller, had a phenomenal meet in San Antonio, posting three NCAA Division III B-cut times, as well as three team records in the 200 individual medley (2:05.39), 100 back (55.35), and 200 back (2:01.39). Thiele broke her own SCAC 100 backstroke record, and established team records in the 100 butterfly (58.83) and 100 freestyle (53.06). Her times also established new Alamo Heights pool records in both the 100 and 200 backstroke.
