Women's Soccer Falls at Trinity

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Austin College women's soccer team battled a strong Trinity squad on Sunday, but the Tigers proved to be too much for the 'Roos in a 6-0 defeat in SCAC play. The 'Roos are now 5-5-1 overall and 1-1 in the SCAC.

The game was scoreless until the 24:01 mark of the opening half, when Trinity's Bailey Meyer lofted a shot just out of the reach of 'Roo keeper Kenedie Lane to make it 1-0, and the Tigers added a goal on a free kick by Hanna Khan just over a minute later to make it 2-0. The Tigers would add one more goal before the break to make it 3-0 at halftime, and Trinity scored in the 58th and 59th minutes to put the game out of reach.

Trinity would add its sixth goal in the 74th minute on a tally by Kayla Bowen, and that's how things would end as the Tigers owned a 39-1 shot advantage, putting 21 attempts on frame in the match. Lane finished with six saves in the opening half and Amanda Zyla had eight stops for the 'Roos in the second.
