SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College women's soccer team tallied twice in the second half and kept the visiting University of Dallas at bay for all 90 minutes on their way to a 2-0 victory over the Crusaders on Friday evening. The 'Roos are now 4-4-1 overall on the year.

The first half was a defensive battle, with neither side finding many opportunities to find the back of the net. Each team managed six shots, but was unable to get any in the goal and the game went into the break with the game scoreless. In the second half, Dallas fired 19 shots compared to three for the 'Roos, but those three shots were all that Austin College would need, as Emeri Watson finished a penalty kick in the 48th minute to put the 'Roos on top 1-0 and Myles McGaha followed up a saved effort from Watson to punch in the team's second goal of the game in the 61st minute.

Dallas had several chances over the game's final 30 minutes, but 'Roo goalkeeper Kenedie Lane and the defense held off the Crusaders, with Lane earning her third clean sheet of the season. Lane finished the game with nine saves, while Ella Charles had three stops for the Crusaders while splitting time with Alison Zilafro.
