SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College women's basketbal team is headed back to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament this weekend, where the 'Roos will be the No. 5-seed in the six team field after finishing with a 7-9 record in conference play.

Austin College was picked last in the preseason SCAC poll but surpassed all conference expectations to work their way up to the 5-seed, finishing with an overall record of 9-16 in the regular season and locking up their seed by virtue of owning a tiebreaker with No. 6-seed Dallas, after the 'Roos swept No. 4-seed Schreiner during the regular season. The 'Roos will face off against the Mountaineers again on Friday in the first round of action, taking to the court at 5:00 p.m. at the Gold Dome on the campus of host school Centenary College in Shreveport.

If the 'Roos are able to top Schreiner for the third time this season, they'll advance to the conference semifinals on Saturday, where they'd take on No. 1-seed Trinity University. You can follow along with all of the action with both live stats and live video, with links available on the official SCAC Men's and Women's Basketball Championship website
