Nine From 'Roo Water Polo Earn MPSF All-Academic

WOODLAND, Calif. – The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation has announced its 6-8 Sports All-Academic Scholar-Athletes for the 2022 men's water polo season. The following student-athletes have been nominated for this award by their institutions based on the following criteria:

  1. 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average.
  2. Student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically.
  3. Student-athlete must have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is received.
  4. Student-athlete must have competed in fifty percent or more of the institution's competition in the student-athlete's respective sport.

Among those to earn All-Academic honors were weniors Nikolas Koelzer, Alan Rosenberg, and Tobias Ward, as well as junior Andrew Galt. Also earning All-Academic accolades were sophomores Gabriel Daniels, Jacob Johnson, Ryan Laventure, Nic Ruggiero, and Aidan Wade. This is the second consecutive year that the 'Roos have had nine team members earn MPSF All-Academic honors, and this year's total was the second most among Division III teams competing in the MPSF, trailing only Augustana's 10 selections.
