SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College men's water polo players Jack Stack and Anthony Sury swept the MPSF East weekly awards as the Delfina Player of the Week and S&R Sport Newcomer of the Week, respectively, for their outstanding play in the team's opening weekend of competition.

Stack, a sophomore from Concord, Calif., recorded six goals for the week, two each versus D1 UC-Santa Barbara, ranked No. 11 nationally, D2 Biola, and top-ranked D3 Redlands, as the 'Roos kicked-off their 2023 season in Southern California. This is the second career MPSF weekly award for Stack.

Sury, a freshman from Lake Jackson, Texas, totaled nine goals in his collegiate debut weekend, as the 'Roos traveled to Southern California to kick-off the season. Sury opened with a hat trick against D-II Biola, and followed with two goals each versus UCSB, D2 Concordia-Irvine, and Redlands. This was Sury's first MPSF award in his debut weekend as a collegiate water polo player.
