GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Austin College men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision on the road at Southwestern University on Sunday, bringing the 'Roos to 7-7-1 overall and 2-4-1 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Southwestern scored both of their goals within the first seven minutes of the game and Austin College was unable to get anything going offensively the rest of the way, managing only three shots in the match compared to 19 for the Pirates.

The Pirates went on top 1-0 in the 5th minute of action on a tally by Luca Cipleu, and at the 6:06 mark the margin doubled on a goal by Ashton Bynum. Southwestern finished the opening half with an 11-2 edge in shot attempts, and the 'Roos would only get off one attempt in the second half. Everardo Garza made seven saves for the 'Roos. The defeat eliminates Austin College from SCAC Tournament contention.

The 'Roos will finish their season and celebrate Senior Night on Friday, as Austin College plays host to nationally-ranked Colorado College.
