KERRVILLE, Texas - The Austin College men's soccer team used a big second half to pull away from Schreiner for a 4-1 win on Friday, as the 'Roos scored three goals in the second half to come away with a comfortable victory. The 'Roos are now 7-3 overall this season, the most wins in the first 10 games of the season for the program since joining the SCAC in 2006.

Austin College got on the board in the 20th minute of action when Louis Catchpole slipped a pass through the defense to Pierce Wear, who managed to sneak it past Schreiner's keeper to make it a 1-0 game. That's how things would stand heading into halftime, and Leo Renteria got the team's second goal, and what would prove to be the game-winner, just five minutes out of the break. Alejandro Beracochea scored less than three minutes later to make it 3-0, and Catchpole tallied for the 11th time this season one minute and 16 seconds later to make it 4-0 at the 53:51 mark.

The Mountaineers picked up a goal in the 70th minute, but that would be the last score of the game for either team as the 'Roos held on for the big road victory. Everardo Garza made three saves for Austin College in goal.
