RICHARDSON, Texas - The Austin College and UT-Dallas men's soccer teams were scoreless through halftime of their non-conference match on Saturday evening, but the Comets erupted for three second half goals to hand the 'Roos a 3-0 defeat to drop the team to 5-3 overall on the year.

Austin College used a strong first half defensive effort to keep UTD at bay for the first 45 minutes despite the Comets owning a 12-2 shot advantage, but it didn't take long in the second half for the home team to notch what would prove to be the game-winning goal. Hamza Sayed tallied at the 47:14 mark to put UT-Dallas on top 1-0, and the Comets would add another goal five minutes later, this time from Aiden Currie on an assist from Leo Castro.

The score remained 2-0 until the 70th minute of action, when Cole Morgan found the back of the net to put UTD on top 3-0, and Austin College was unable to get anything going offensively in the closing minutes. The Comets finished the game with a 22-5 shot advantage, including putting seven shots on target compared to one for the 'Roos. Everardo Garza made four saves in goal for Austin College.
