Four From 'Roo Men's Hoops Earn All-SCAC

SHREVEPORT, La. - Tristan Dick was named second team All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and Joshua Joe, Kidus Getenet, and Ethan Pearce each earned honorable mention accolades for their outstanding performances throughout the 2023-24 campaign, the league office has announced.

Dick, a senior guard from Houston, earned second team accolades after finishing the season as the team's top scorer with 13.3 points-per-game while shooting 47% from the field and adding 6.1 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 blocks. Dick surpassed 1,000 points during his final season in Sherman, and raised his scoring average to 14.3 points in SCAC competition. He also finished third in the voting for SCAC Defensive Player of the Year.

Joe, a senior guard from Hurst, was named honorable mention after finishing the year averaging 11.6 points-per-game, including 13.7 against SCAC foes, while shooting 31.6% from beyond the arc and 74% from the free throw line. He also dished out 2.4 assists, grabbed 3.3 rebounds, and came away with 1.4 steals-per-game for the year.

Getenet, a sophomore guard from Allen, was also named honorable mention after ending the year second on the team in scoring with an average of 13.1 points-per-game while hitting 39.4% from the field and 78% from the free thow line, and raised his scoring average to 13.3 points during conference play. He also grabbed 4.8 rebounds and handed out 1.7 assists-per-game for the year.

Pearce, a sophomore forward from Meridian, Idaho, was an honorable mention pick after finishing the season with averages of 6.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 1.2 blocks, and 1.2 assists-per-game while shooting 46.4% from the field and 75% from the free throw line. Against SCAC competition, he averaged 7.0 points and 6.9 rebounds.
