HOUSTON, Texas - The Austin College men's basketball team went back and forth at the University of St. Thomas, but the Celts closed the game with a 12-3 run over the game's final four minutes to hand the 'Roos a 77-63 defeat on Sunday afternoon.

Tristan Dick continued his torrid January, leading the 'Roos with 18 points in his hometown, and Joshua Joe scored 16 points as Austin College was all square with St. Thomas 33-33 at halftime and trailed 65-60 with just under four minutes to play. However, that's when the Celts began to pull away, using a quick 8-1 burst to go on top by double figures and Austin College was unable to mount a final comeback bid. Joe scored the last points of the game for the 'Roos with a jumper at the 1:03 mark to cut it to 73-63, but the Celts scored the last four points of the game to make it a 77-63 final.

Dick, who is averaging better than 22 points-per-game in the team's five January contests, hit 7-of-15 shots and added five rebounds, two blocks, and two steals but battled foul trouble throughout the game. Joe was 5-of-11 from the floor and grabbed six boards, while Jordan Hudgins chipped in nine points and six rebounds, Jackson Rennie came off the bench to contribute eight points, and Ethan Pearce snagged a team-best 10 rebounds in the loss. Nick Anderson led all scorers with 21 points and hit 4-of-8 threes off the bench for St. Thomas.
