'Roos Fall at D2 Southeastern Oklahoma

DURANT, Okla. - The Austin College baseball went on th road to NCAA Division II opponent Southeastern Oklahoma on Tuesday, falling 10-1 to bring the team's overall record to 6-8 on the season.

Southeastern jumped out to a big lead early and Austin College was never able to recover, as the Savage Storm pushed five runs across in the bottom of the first. Scott Hosmer got Austin College on the board with a sacrifice fly in the top of the second, bringing home Jake Trapani, but two runs for Southeastern in the bottom half of the inning made it a 7-1 game. The scoring slowed down from there, with SOSU getting one more run in the fourth to make it 8-1, and then not getting any runners home until the bottom of the seventh, when two more came across to make it 10-1.

Joe Potter took the loss for Austin College, giving up five runs on five hits with five walks in 0.2 innings of work. The 'Roos were limited to four hits in the game, with Trapani, Hosmer, Brandon Hill, and Keaton High each notching a single in the game. Southeastern's Cameron Cromer went 3-for-5 with five RBI to pace the Savage Storm.
