CLEBURNE, Texas - Austin College baseball player Trystan Mallory was named honorable mention All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference for his outstanding performance throughout the 2023 campaign, the league office has announced.

Mallory, a sophomore pitcher from Bonham, led the 'Roos and was among the conference leaders in strikeouts this season, fanning 53 batters in 55.2 innings of work while earning a pair of wins on the season. He also finished 13th in the SCAC with an earned-run-average of 4.37, and was 10th in strikeout rate, averaging 8.57 per nine innings. Mallory also finished among the conference leaders in fewest hits allowed by starting pitchers, surrendering 62 in 12 appearances overall for an average of only five hits per game throughout the 2023 season. Earlier this season, Mallory earned SCAC Pitcher of the Week honors after striking out 14 batters in just six innings in a win over Lyon.
