THE BASICS
Sherman, Texas – The Eagles moved to 3-0 on the season with a 66-56 road win against Austin College Tuesday night. The Eagles jumped out to a 21-9 lead in the first half and went into halftime with a 31-22 advantage. The Eagles forced 14 turnovers in the first half and had eight players who were in the scoring column. After Austin College closed the gap to 40-33, the Eagles built a 49-34 lead with 10:38 remaining in the game on Tim Eldridge's jump shot. The Eagles went on a 10-1 run over a four-minute span in the second half. Austin College never really threatened after that as the Eagles' defense limited the Kangaroos to 30 percent shooting from the field in the second half. The Eagles outperformed Austin in shooting percentage in the game 45 percent to 27 percent. Tylan Jackson led the Eagles with 13 points.

TURNING POINT
