The 2023-24 year in athletics wraps up this week, as the 'Roo softball and women's water polo teams will be competing in postseason action while the athletics department celebrates its student-athletes at Athletics Convocation on Thursday evening.

The department will be holding its annual Athletics Convocation at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday in Hughey Gym, recognizing the year's successes by handing out both team awards and department awards, including the Pete Cawthon and Gene Day Awards for the top male and female student-athletes of the year. We invite all members of 'Roo Nation to join the celebration!

For the first time in nearly a decade, the 'Roo softball team is headed back to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament, hosted this year by top-seeded Texas Lutheran. Austin College, which enters as the No. 6-seed, will take on defending champs St. Thomas, who open the tournament as the No. 3-seed, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon. 

Austin College women's water polo returns to the Division III National Final Four this weekend, hosted by Pomona-Pitzer. The 'Roos are the No. 4-seed in the championships after finishing as the runner-up in the CWPA, and will face top-seeded Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday with game time set for 2:00 p.m. PDT.
