SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's soccer player Emeri Watson.

Watson, a sophomore forward from Paris, has had an outstanding season for Austin College as the 'Roos have had one of their strongest seasons of the last decade, heading into the final stretch of the year with a 5-5-3 record. Currently, she ranks in the top five in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in goals scored, assists, and total points. Watson has scored three goals and assisted on three more for a total of nine points, with that point total tying her for fourth in the league. Her three goals tie her for fourth, as well, while her assist total ties her for the second most so far this season among all conference players.
