Woodhouse Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo baseball player Mason Woodhouse.

Woodhouse, a sophomore from Castle Rock, Colo., has been red-hot in the month of April for the 'Roos, batting .390 in 12 games with two doubles, a triple, a home run, and six RBI. Woodhouse has hit safely in seven straight games, with at least two hits in five of those contests. Last season, Woodhouse earned All-SCAC honors for his outstanding first season as the team's second baseman, and this year Woodhouse has split time as the starting shortstop and third baseman for the 'Roos. So far this sason, he's got two homers, four doubles, a triple, and 16 RBI. For his career, he's now batting .291 with 66 total hits, including four homers, and has driven in 33 runs in 67 games played.
