Swiatkowski Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo softball player Hailie Swiatkowski.

Swiatkowski, a sophomore pitcher and infielder from Mundelien, Illinois, had a huge weekend at the plate for Austin College as the 'Roos picked up their first win of the year at Ozarks. Swiatkowski batted .857 (7-of-8) in two games, with her first career home run and seven RBI. She also scored a pair of runs and had a .875 on-base percentage and a 1.286 slugging percentage. So far this season, she's batting .467 with eight RBI and four runs scored in six games, and has also logged 8.0 innings pitched in two appearances in the circle.

Modern Woodmen of America is proud to recognize and support the ongoing achievements of Austin College student-athletes. Their North Texas Region understands that the pursuit of excellence on and off the field creates a foundation for continued excellence after graduation.
