SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo softball player Elizabeth Preston.

Preston, a junior shortstop from Prairiland, had a monster weekend at the plate as Austin College opened up its 2023 campaign on the road against Millsaps. In four games, Preston batted .583 with a .571 on-base percentage and a .833 slugging percentage. She had three doubles, three runs batted in, six runs scored, and added two stolen bases. So far this year, she ranks first in the SCAC in batting average, on-base percentage, doubles, and runs, and is second in slugging percentage and stolen bases while being tied for third in the conference in RBI. Preston is also a member of the Austin College cheer and STUNT teams.
