SAN ANTONIO, Tx - The Women's Cross Country Team competed this weekend in the Our Lady of the Lake University Invitational 5 Kilometer event and finished ahead of some familiar foes.

Trinity University, Southwestern University, and Schreiner University from the SCAC were all in attendance, as well as McMurry University, Concordia (Tex.), and Sul Ross State from the American Southwest Conference.

The 'Roos raced to 4 Personal Bests and a 7th place finish, collectively ahead of the Pirates and the Mountaineers.  Eden Llamas ran a 21:01, setting the school record for the Women's 5K, and besting her previous mark by 1 minute, 13 seconds.

Haleigh Hahn and Brittany Lawrence both beat their previous 5K times by nearly 4 minutes, and Hailee Meiners surpassed her best time by 39 seconds.

The pack time for the group (difference between first finisher and final finisher) was a competitive 1 minute 48 seconds, and all Austin College Runners finished in the top 70 of the field.

AC will train hard for the rest of September as their next competition will not be until October 10th at the UIW Invitational in Live Oak, TX hosted by the University of Incarnate Word.
