'Roos Set for CWPA Tournament

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College women's water polo team will get its first ever postseason underway on Friday, as the 'Roos take on Penn State Behrend in the first round of the CWPA Championships in New London, Connecticut. This year's championships are hosted by Connecticut College.

After finishing the regular season with an overall record of 6-8 and a 5-3 mark in CWPA competition, the 'Roos secured the No. 2-seed in the West Region, making them the third overall seed in the tournament. Their first round opponent, Penn State Behrend, is the No. 6 overall seed after finishing the 2019 regular season with a 3-18 overall record. That game is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. Eastern, with the winner advancing to the semifinals on Saturday. The championship game is set for 1:30 p.m. Eastern on Sunday.

All of this weekend's games will be streamed live, with the cost of viewership either $10 for a one-day pass or $25 for the full tournament. More details can be found on the Connecticut College athletics website
