SHERMAN, Texas – Austin College women's water polo player Presley Woods has been named both the Player and Rookie of the Week by the Collegiate Water Polo Association, the organization has announced.

Woods, a freshman from Lantana, opened the week with six goals in a 14-6 non-conference win over Connecticut College at No. 21-ranked California State University-Northridge, before chipping in a goal in a 20-3 loss to the host Matadors. Following a 14-4 loss at Concordia University, she tacked on a goal in a 5-4 loss to Division III No. 10 Occidental College. Woods concluded the trip with three goals against both Division III No. 5 University of Redlands and Division III No. 6 Chapman University.

Woods is the first Austin College player to ever garner CWPA Player of the Week honors, and the second to win Rookie of the Week honors, joining Lexi Wong, who won the award earlier this season.
