'Roos Rise in ITA Regional Rankings

SURPRISE, AZ. - The Austin College Men's & Women's Tennis Teams received new accolades in the most recent West Region Division III Men's & Women's ITA Rankings.

While the team rankings remained the same (Women #12, Men #17), some individuals moved up and even into the rankings for the first time in program history.

Melody Duong's performance against Colorado College moved her up to #20 in the West Region Singles Rankings, while Diana Carvajalino jumped back into the rankings at #25.

Duong and senior co-Captain Grace Ortiz moved down slightly to #13 in the West Region Doubles Rankings, but still remain one of the Top-15 Doubles Teams in the Western United States.

On the Men's Side, the win over Colorado College at Line 1 Doubles for Siddharth Kortikere and Kenneth Hardy was valued along with their season-long body of work as meriting a entrance into the Top-15 doubles rankings in the West.  At #14 this is the first time in program history an Austin College Men's Doubles Team has been ranked in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rankings.

As the Kangaroos close out their season with a 3rd place finish in the SCAC Championships, more accolades are to come for this group, both in the conference, and regionally.
