Seibert, Morris sweep their way into A-Draw at ITA's

TYLER, Tex. - ITA Regional qualifying singles and doubles began on the campus of the University of Texas at Tyler, and two Kangaroo Women's Tennis Players went undefeated to qualify for the main event.

Sophomore Katie Seibert and First-Year Chandler Morris both won their singles matches 6-1, 6-4 against their McMurry Warhawk opponents Symphony Munoz and Claire Huffine.

The duo teamed up then for a double match against Perez/Ellwanger from McMurry, and after falling behind 3-5, made a miraculous comeback to win 9-8 (7-2).

With Morris and Seibert qualifying, Austin College Women's Tennis earns 7 competitors into the coveted singles draw of 64 and doubles draw of 32; the most for either event in the Kangaroos Division III program history.

Play begins at 8am on the campuses of UT-Tyler and Tyler Junior College.  You can follow live updates of the tournament by visiting the UT-Tyler athletics website here: http://www.uttylerpatriots.com/wtennis/news/2017-18/5681/patriotstennis-to-host-ita-southwest-championship/
