GEORGETOWN, Tex. – The Kangaroo Women's Tennis Team was blanked by a strong Southwestern Pirates squad under the lights in Georgetown, TX

     Eager to seize the momentum quickly, the Kangaroos instead fell behind 3-0 after doubles competition with a quick 8-2 defeat at Line 3 and two competitive 8-4 results at Lines 1 and 2.

     Singles competition went much of the same way for Austin College, as Southwestern clinched the match at the top 2 positions with 6-0, 6-0 victories.  Grace Ortiz fought hard at Line 3 against her Pirate opponent, but fell 6-3, 6-0. 

     The Pirates, ranked #25 in the nation and #5 in the West Region, did everything they needed to do to solidify their new ITA Ranking. Austin College travels to Kerrville, TX for their final match of the weekend.  The 'Roos will square off against Schreiner on Saturday, April 8th at 11AM.
