Women's Swimming Takes Third at AC Invite

The Austin College women's swimming and diving team had a strong overall performance at the Austin College Invitational on Saturday, placing third out of six competing teams at the meet with a total score of 393, just five points behind second place Centenary.

Katherine Tuttle performed well in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, taking second place in each. Tuttle scored 200.10 in the 1-meter dive, and 167.70 in the 3-meter event. Sophie Garriga also performed well, placing second in the 200 yard fly with a time of 2:23.10, and added a third place finish in the 200 back with a time of 2:21.44. 

Sarah Edzards had a strong showing in the 1000 free, coming in with a time of 12:46.73 to take third place, and had another third place finish in the 200 yard free with a time of 2:11.62. Edzards also took third in the 500 free with a time of 6:01.65, while Garriga added a fourth place finish in the 100 yard fly with a time of 1:05.54.
