Lane, Garcia Earn SCAC Postseason Recognition

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Austin College women's soccer players Kenedie Lane and Priscilla Garcia have each received postseason honors from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, the league office announced this weekend at the SCAC Tournament.

Lane, a sophomore goalkeeper from Frisco, was named honorable mention All-SCAC while Garcia, a freshman midfielder from Mesquite, earned a spot on the All-SCAC Freshman Team.

Lane finished the season ranked first in the conference in saves and second in save percentage, totaling 121 saves on the year - nearly 40 more than the next closest player. She had a .801 save percentage, while logging more than 1,000 minutes in 12 matches played. Lane reached double-digits in saves five times this season, including a career-best 16 saves in a match against Trinity.

Garcia had an outstanding first season with the 'Roos, becoming an immediate starter and creating offensive scoring chances throughout the year. She appeared in 17 games this season with 15 starts, scoring twice and adding an assist to wrap up the year with five total points. Garcia ranked first on the team with 23 shot attempts, putting 11 of those on target.
