  • Housden Named Head Women's Soccer Coach

    SHERMAN, Texas – Michele Housden has been named the head coach of the Austin College women’s soccer program, athletics director David Norman has announced. Housden most recently served as the head coach at R.L. Paschal High School in Fort Worth.

    LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Five Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference fall sports programs were recognized by the league as recipients of the SCAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Team Sportsmanship award in balloting conducted following each sport's respective season. Austin College was this year's recipient in women's soccer.

    The 2010 Austin College women's soccer team had an historic year defensively, surrendering just eight goals all season. One of the anchors of the defense that season was Ashleigh Johnson, who went on to be named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
