Brooke Swift joined the Austin College athletics department as the Brittany Simpson Endowed Women's Assistant Basketball Coach in May 2023, after serving as a graduate assistant coach at NCAA Division II program Converse University in Spartanburg, S.C. Prior to that, she worked as an assistant coach at both Colorado College and Southwestern University.
Swift is a 2018 graduate of Southwestern, where she played for the Pirates and was a member of that program's 2015 SCAC Championship squad. She also played for the Pirates when they were the SCAC runners-up in 2018, a year in which she served as the team's captain and started at point guard.
Following her playing career, she stayed on as an assistant coach for Southwestern during the 2018-19 season, before taking that same position at another SCAC program, Colorado College. Swift worked with the Tigers from 2019-2021 before taking her position at Converse, where she earned her master's degree this spring. While at Colorado College, she helped lead the Tigers to their first ever SCAC championship game appearance, while also working with the 2021 SCAC Player of the Year in addition to developing multiple All-SCAC performers both in Colorado Springs and Georgetown.
Along with her duties as the women's assistant basketball coach, Swift will also be serving as an assistant for athletics communications.
