RICHARDSON, Texas - The Austin College women's basketball team pulled out a 58-57 road victory at the University of Texas-Dallas on Tuesday, bringing the team's record to 3-0 on the year.

Austin College led for most of the game but needed one final defensive stop to emerge with the win, as the Comets missed its final attempt as time expired. The 'Roos broke a 55-55 tie on a three-point play by Natalie McCoy with 39 seconds left, which proved to be the difference in the victory. Kacie West paced Austin College with 17 points, scoring 15 in the first half as the 'Roos took a 31-25 halftime lead, and Sarah Gwin came off the bench to score a career-best 13 points. McCoy finished with 10, including six in the fourth quarter.

The Comets would score the final four points of the quarter to cut it to a 48-42 game heading into the fourth, and knotted things up at 55 apiece with under a minute left in the fourth before McCoy delivered her three-point play.

West and Gwin each knocked down three triples in the win, and Austin College limited UTD to just 29.7% shooting from the field. Savage finished with seven points, eight rebounds, and five assists and Addison Walling added eight rebounds in the victory.
