'Roos Run Well at Hardin-Simmons Cowboy Invitational

ABILENE, Texas - The Austin College men's and women's distance track teams performed well at the Hardin-Simmons Cowboy Invitational on Saturday, with multiple 'Roos earning first place finishes at the event.

Charlie McIntyre placed first in the 10000 meter run, coming in with a time of 36:18.69 for the first top finish of the day for Austin College, while Danielle Lozano placed second in the same event on the women's side. Lozano came across with a time of 46:34.89 in the race. Carrie McIntyre earned the second first place finish on the day for the 'Roos in the 1500 meter, finishing with a time of 5:09.3, more than seven seconds ahead of the next best runner. She added a second place finish in the 800 meter later in the meet, coming in with a time of 2:32.15.

Andrew Thomas had a pair of top 10 finishes for Austin College, coming across with a time of 4:33.46 to take eighth in the 1500 meter run, and later placing fifth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 17:11.63. Madison Barnum had a fourth place finish in that same event on the women's side, running in a time of 21:43.03.
