SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Austin College distance track team had several strong performances at the 2019 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship Meet hosted by Trinity University this weekend, as multiple runners on both the men's and women's sides set personal bests.
Danielle Lozano finished ninth in the 10000-meter event, setting a personal record with a time of 45:18.91, while both RJ Navarro and Charlie McIntyre had strong finishes in that event on the men's side. Navarro established a new school record in the race, finishing seventh overall with a time of 34:52.97. McIntyre added an 11th place finish, coming in with a personal best time of 35:40.60.
Andrew Thomas performed well in the 1500-meter race, finishing 11th with a personal record time of 4:27.68, while Chris Biffar took ninth in that event with a time of 4:21.77. On the women's side, Hannah Richards was 10th in that event with a time of 5:19.69, and Jessica Hoffman set personal records in both the 1500 and 800-meter events. Richards added a ninth place finish in the 800-meter race, finishing with a time of 2:32.68.
