SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Austin College distance track team had several strong performances at the 2017 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Track and Field Championship Meet, with multiple program records falling over the course of the two day event.

Hannah Richards set a new program record in the 1500 meter event, finishing in fifth place with a time of 5:06.30. Alex Quinn also had a strong effort in the race, finishing with a time of 5:26.06 for 11th place, while Madison Galvan was 13th with a time of 5:38.80. Quinn also brought home a sixth place finish in the 10000 meter run, finishing with a time of 43:32.65.

In the 800 meter event, Shelby Stipp was the top finisher for the 'Roos, coming in with a time of 2:46.94 for 12th place, while Victoria Dodd was 15th with a time of 3:13.94. 

On the men's side, Matthew Gregory set a new Austin College record with a time of 4:22.98 in the 1500 meter event, which was good for a ninth place finish overall.
