Lauren Wheeler, Erik Gentzel, and Amit Pullarkat all set new Austin College records on day two of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championship on Friday. Wheeler finished second in the 100 yard backstroke to earn All-SCAC honors in her record breaking swim.

Wheeler was edged by a fraction of a second in the event, finishing with a time of 58.89 seconds for her second top four finish so far at the championship meet. 

On the men's side, Gentzel set a new Kangaroo record in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 54.40 seconds, good for 10th place in the event. Pullarkat took ninth place in the 100 yard butterfly with his record setting swim, establishing a new Austin College mark with a time of 52.94 in the event.

The 'Roos wrap up the championship on Saturday.
