'Roo Cross Country Runs Well Again at McMurry

ABILENE, Texas - RJ Navarro had his fourth straight first place finish and the Austin College men's cross country team took second place overall, while the women saw personal best times for three runners at the Bill Libby Invitational hosted by McMurry on Saturday morning.

Navarro broke his own program record in the 8k, which he set just last week, by nearly 20 seconds with a time of 26:34.8 to claim first place in the meet, and Johnny Biffar placed sixth with a time of 27:08.7, which was a new personal best. Andrew Thomas also set a new personal record with a time of 27:53.6, good for 12th place overall. Chris Biffar added a 16th place finish with a time of 27:59.9, and Charlie McIntyre was 22nd with a time of 28:24.1. 

For the women, Madison Barnum, Danielle Lozano, and Becca Tobias all set new personal records at the meet with Barnum leading the way in 23rd place with a time of 25:39.2. Lozano was close behind in 25th place with a time of 25:49.3, while Tobias came in with a time of 39:14.4. The 'Roos are off until November 2, when they head to Colorado Springs for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship meet hosted by Colorado College.
