Nine From Men's Water Polo Earn MPSF Academic Honors

WOODLAND, Calif. – The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation has announced its 6-8 Sports All-Academic Scholar-Athletes for the 2022 men's water polo season. The following student-athletes have been nominated for this award by their institutions based on the following criteria:

  1. 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average.
  2. Student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically.
  3. Student-athlete must have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is received.
  4. Student-athlete must have competed in fifty percent or more of the institution's competition in the student-athlete's respective sport.

Among those to earn All-Academic honors were seniors Evan Cueva, Cade Griffith, Dylan Laventure, James Mirt, and Max Wade, as well as juniors Nik Koelzer, Alan Rosenberg, and Tobias Ward, with sophomore Andrew Galt also garnering recogntion. With nine players earning Academic All-MPSF, the 'Roos had the most of all Division III programs in the MPSF, and trailed only UCLA and Stanford among all teams within the conference.
