'Roo Men Place 4th at AC Invite

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's swimming and diving team performed well against some high level programs, placing fourth in the Austin College Invite on Saturday afternoon in Hannah Natatorium.

The 'Roos finished with 292 points, placing them ahead of both Simpson College and McMurry University in the final team standings at the meet. Among the highlights for the day were first place finishes from Collin Vu in the 50 freestyle and Chris Brown in the 100 backstroke, with Vu touching in a time of 22.14 and Brown coming in with a time of 54.68 to earn the win. Brown's time was more than a second and a half faster than the second place finisher. Vu added a second place finish in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:50.76, and Brown's time of 2:03.94 was good for third in the 200 backstroke. 

Vu rounded out his strong day with a third place finish in the 100 yard butterfly, touching with a time of 55.48, and Colton Baker added second place points in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events.
